This is my self indulgence. This is my vote for María José from Latin American Idol. This is my way of saying “fuck you” to a country (Costa Rica) who supports the well being of one person in order to brag about how “cultural” they are in winning Latin America Idol (even though the rest of the world could not care less about this contest).
This is how (perhaps) you should consider spending your money. There are thousands of charities that could use your help, make your move, don’t succumb to the masses, make a change and make it NOW:
In case you were wondering WTF The Humane Society has done:

They were pretty much responsible for making Michael Vick (pro football player who had dog fights in his house) go to jail for 23 months.
They hunt down puppy mills.
In a nutshell, they protect animals and they will forever have my full support.

My respect and admiration for you have grown exponentially. This is the sweetest and most thoughtful thing I´ve seen in a while. I would´ve start helping local animals (but that´s just me, it takes no credit away from you).

Glad to here you’re supporting the animals here in Washington. Sad to hear the state can’t fund the Humane Society! I have never heard of anything so crazy.
