Simply Disgusting: Three Girls Shot in Costa Rica at Point Blank Range
October 30th, 2008
Why the fuck do I write these things? They are not going to make a difference – the thief, the murderer, the rapists, the sexual predator, will continue to continue his/her deeds regardless of what we say say, bitch, think or protest. I really don’t know…I hope some tourist will eventually read this and think twice before coming to our central american switzerland – utter bullshit.
I read something on Amelia Rueda’s tweet that made me look for the actual newspaper article. The first I saw brought an immediate knot in my throat. Check this photograph:
It’s one of the saddest photographs I have seen in my life. And if you are still not in shock, picture yourself in there – mourning your mother, your sister, your son, or your daughter – because it could very well happen to us one of these days. That is how fucked up Costa Rica is right now.
So what happened, you ask? Three girls (ages 24, 25, and 28) were finishing their shift at a casino in Costa Rica, when two assholes intercepted them and took them to an ATM to make them retrieve money for them. After retrieving TWO-HUNDRED FUCKING DOLLARS, they shot one of them in the head and fled off with the other two. This first one died.
The other two were shot as well – apparently to avoid having witnesses, but they did not die. One of them received two gunshots to the head but luckily survived – she lost an eye nonetheless.
Now what the fuck is going on? When did our country become a place where women who work hard for their money have to beg for their lives? Since when do we tolerate assholes shooting WOMEN, mind, you – at point blank? This really sickens me.
I know Ghandi said “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”, but fuck that, these assholes deserve to die in the most horrible way possible. If our government will not protect us against these vile, rotten, good for nothing motherfuckers, we will have to take matters into our own hands.
Fuck, I am still in shock after writing about this. I thought it would calm me down a bit. How wrong I was.

Thinking about that, we could set up a cool (open source :p) e-commerce website and sell guns, hey… US financial crisis will help us buy guns at bargain prices and sell them here(same price – we don’t need to make money out of this and hey we are using open source :ninja). BTW: Del vecchio won’t even notice we exist.

@ronny: excellent idea, but I’m afraid the CR government would shut us down. If we sell lots of guns, then people will kill criminals, and we know that the CR government would not allow that – if there is one thing they are good at, is protecting the human rights of murderers :S

@Mario:
Thanks for your reply!
There’s lots of lots of reasons the wave of awful crimes that are affecting Costa Rica. The worst one is our judicial system and uncontrolled human growth that live below poverty levels. I made a point about that on this entry:
http://www.grumpytico.com/?p=1560
The worst part is that this fear is governing our lives. For instance, I want to buy a car and the most important factor is not the mode, make, color, or features, but rather how likely am I to get car-jacked. Until out judicial system changes, we are pretty much fucked here
